Effective November 2, 2021, The Public Housing waiting list is open for application.
Applications for housing assistance are accepted every Tuesday between the hours of 9 am – 12 pm.
Effective April 15, 2025 – Due to the high volume of applicants on the HCV-Section 8 waiting list, The City of Georgetown Housing Authority will close its HCV-Section 8 waiting list.
The waiting list will remain closed until further notice.

Resident advisory Board meetings will be held every 3rd Thursday of every month. at the David H. Drayton Community Center located at 1 Lincoln St, Georgetown, SC. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the needs of the residents of Georgetown Housing Authority and the use of CFP 2023 funds being made available from HUD. All residents are encouraged to attend.
A public hearing will be held at 6:00 p.m. at the David H. Drayton Community Center located at 1 Lincoln St, Georgetown, SC. The purpose of the hearing is to discuss all aspects of the 2023 5-Year Action Plan/Annual Plan for Georgetown Housing Authority.
