PUBLIC NOTICE

Due to the high volume of applicants on the HCV-Section 8 waiting list, The City of Georgetown Housing Authority will close its HCV-Section 8 waiting list effective, April 15, 2025.

The waiting list will remain closed until further notice.

Resident Advisory Board Meeting

Resident advisory Board meetings will be held every 3rd Thursday of every month. at the David H. Drayton Community Center located at 1 Lincoln St, Georgetown, SC. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the needs of the residents of Georgetown Housing Authority and the use of CFP 2023 funds being made available from HUD. All residents are encouraged to attend.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

A public hearing will be held at 6:00 p.m. at the David H. Drayton Community Center located at 1 Lincoln St, Georgetown, SC. The purpose of the hearing is to discuss all aspects of the 2023 5-Year Action Plan/Annual Plan for Georgetown Housing Authority. Housing Choice Voucher

The Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program, formerly known as Section 8, is rental assistance in the private market.

This program is governed by a waiting list and preference. Applicants must apply and qualify to receive services.
